Offered here is 1932 Los Angeles Summer Olympics participation medal paired with a lovely enameled presentation pill box.

Participation Medal: Made of bronze. Minted by Whitehead-Hoag. 69 mm in diameter; 5 mm thick; 148 grams. Designed by Julio Kilenyi of New York. On the obverse is a figure representing the international athlete carrying the banner of the "Xth Olympiad 1932". On the reverse are two figures supporting the shield of the United States. One of these figures is holding an olive branch and the other a shield bearing the seals of the State of California and of the City of Los Angeles. On the side is the California poppy and at the top along the rim is "Los Angeles - California." Designer's name stamped on bottom edge. These are fairly scarce as only 1,331 were issued. Presents NM-MT.

Pill Box: Colorful 1932 L.A. Summer Olympics depiction on top. "Citius Altius Fortius" with Olympic rings on interior. Made by Crummles & Co. of England. Diameter 2-1/2". Height 1-3/8". Mint Condition.
