Wally Berger was a center fielder for the Boston Braves of the National League who spent some time manning first base during the 1931 and ’32 seasons. During his 11-year career in Major League Baseball, Berger played in 1,350 games and batted .300 with 242 home runs to his credit. This leather first baseman’s glove was worn by Berger during the 1931 and ’32 seasons. The Wilson Professional Model Grease Set Model First baseman’s glove is in great condition and includes Berger’s last name written in black marker across the wrist area. It’s branded “It’s a Wilson” in silver across the left thumb area and includes Pat. No. 1624696.
