The 1929 Chicago Cubs won the franchise's twelve NL pennant thanks in large part to their centerfielder and RBI machine, Hack Wilson. The stout, 5' 9" Hall of Fame slugger was one of the most productive offensive weapons in the Majors when he signed this '29 Wrigley Field scorecard, blasting 39 homers and driving in 159 runs a year ahead of his still-standing MLB record of 191 ribbies in 1930. His bold 9/10 black fountain ink autograph appears on the cover of the unscored 6" x 9" pamphlet (VG/EX condition overall), joined by teammates Johnny Moore, Clyde Beck, Johnny Schulte (pencil) and Zach Taylor along with the Cubbies Hall of Fame broadcaster Hal Totten, who has added a "WMAQ" radio station inscription. Eight signatures in total are present, all but one in black ink ranging 6-9/10. A center horizontal fold line is well below Wilson's scarce and coveted signature. The unfilled scorecard on the inside has the lineups for Brooklyn and Chicago, with Wilson in his standard clean-up spot. Full Grading LOA from PSA/DNA, NM-MT 8. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
