In 1928 three major ice cream manufacturers, Yuengling's, Tharp and Harrington's issued baseball cards with their brand products. Very similar to the 1927 York Caramels and 1931 W502 issue, these ice cream cards have the designation of F50's and all 60 cards in the set measure 1-38" x 2- 1/2." Not surprisingly, Ruth and Gehrig are the most sought after copies as is the case with any set from the era. Offered here is the highest graded Iron Horse from the set in a PSA NM-MT 8 holder.  In any set which he appears, Lou Gehrig lure's the biggest collectors and seekers of high end baseball colllecting glory. Between both SGC and PSA, this is the highest grade of any Gehrig from this rarely offered series. There are a total of five NM-MT examples graded by PSA and only one copy in an SGC NM MT holder in existence. There are no copies graded higher than this one from either firm.
