From the 1928 Tabacalera La Morena or "The Dark Tobacco Manufacturer" set comes an iconic example that features two of the game's greatest players of all time, Lou Gehrig and Babe Ruth. This copy measures 1-3/4" x 2 1/8" and is a genuine photograph that was hand colored for circulation. The Cuban culture loved the game of baseball then as much as they do now and this popular trading card was issued with packs of the popular tobacco brand. It only makes sense that two of the sport's most beloved players would be included in the set. When it comes to scarcity this copy has a population of just three on the current SGC concensus and there is only one graded higher. This copy, along with the other two examples command a premium and are worthy additons to any serious vintage collection. Graded SGC 40 VG 3
