Two rare items from the 1924 Paris Summer Olympics.

1) Participant's badge: Partially enameled bronze. 34 x 42mm. Shield shape. Raised lettering "CONCURRENT - C.O.F. - VIII OLYMPIADE PARIS 1924" on red enamel. Olympic rings in color at top. Ship design at center. Numbered 6700. The pin/screw back still intact. VG-EX condition.

2) Commemorative medallion: Sterling silver. 3 x 5cm. Ornate, hexagonal shape. Engraved from top "1924 - PRESENTED BY HON. JOHN F. HYLAN - ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK TO THE VICTORIOUS ATHLETES ON THEIR RETURN FROM THE OLYMPIC GAMES AT PARIS FRANCE." Design shows male athlete in early uniform holding laurel branch. Each Olympian in NYC area was issued one of these upon their return home. "D&C" (Dieges & Clust) and "STERLING" engraved on back. VG condition.
