Presented is an unused 1920 Polo Grounds official scorecard for a matchup between the New York Yankees and eventual World Champion Cleveland Indians. The scorecard is in excellent condition overall, especially given its age. Only some slight toning along the spine and some fading on the interior scoring page gives away the fact that it is over 90 years old. The scorecard dates back to the great Babe Ruth's first season as a Yankee. He helped lead New York to 95 victories. However, that mark would only be good enough for third place in the American League, as the team finished behind Cleveland and Chicago. Ruth hit .376 with 54 home runs in his debut with the Yanks, foreshadowing the slew of great achievements he would have while donning the pinstripes.
