This classic image of Ruth epitomizes his transition from emerging star pitcher to the baseball's most fearsome slugger. The 6"x8" original photo shows outstanding clarity and contrast, with a 1" tear at the left edge and a few minor wrinkles having little affect on it's dynamic visual quality. International News stamping appears on the revers as well as pencil notations and remnants of a paper credit. Certainly one of the hobby's most iconic and captivating images from Ruth's historic transitional period.
