High demand card of All Time Great Babe Ruth in a tough Chicago area department store regional issue. Ruth won 24 games, his personal best, in 1917 and was on his way to an outstanding pitching career. Ruth would only start 19 games the next year as his tremendous hitting forced the conversion to the outfield so his potent bat could be in the lineup every day. Very well centered with a clear, in-focus image. Clean both front and back. Only real distraction is corner wear. Desirable early card of Ruth from his days as an ace pitcher for the Boston Red Sox.
