Awesome 1916 Brooklyn Dodgers World Series press pin for games played at the 3 year old Ebbets Field against the American League Champion Boston Red Sox and their 23 Game winning youngster Babe Ruth. Ruth would pitch a 2-1 14 inning complete game victory in Game 2 as Boston would cut short the Dodgers Series hopes 4 games to 1. 1916 would mark the first appearance in the World Series during the modern era. Colorful pin features a large, raised, baseball with "BROOKLYN" written across the top. Circling the pin in gold on blue and white enamel is "1916 WORLD SERIES". Threaded post reverse complete and in tack with "DIEGES & CLUST MAKERS" on connecting round post pin. Inside of round post pin is patent pending and "THE VICTORY". Pin looks to be in excellent condition and displays well. Great piece of Brooklyn Dodgers World Series history!
