Legendary Giants manager John McGraw takes timeout before a game to sit and chat with the best shortstop in the game, Honus Wagner. The location is New York’s Polo Grounds, and the year is 1915. Both men are household names, and both would be enshrined in the Baseball Hall of Fame, Wagner in the first group and McGraw in the second. McGraw was an unabashed fan of Wagner, once remarking, "He (Honus Wagner) was the nearest thing to a perfect player no matter where his manager chose to play him."

This 6.5" by 8.5" original photo displays warm toning from age. There are some pieces missing from the edge of the top left border and some softening of the edges. The back of the photo has the iconic Paul Thompson and The Ring, Inc. stamps along with “John J. McGraw Mgr N.Y. Giants” and “Hans Wagner on right corner” in pencil. There is some staining present from production. The photo has been encapsulated Type 1 by PSA/DNA.
