Very tough GOOD PSA 2 Joe Jackson card from Series 8 of the 1910 Old Mill tobacco issue. Jackson is pictured as a member of New Orleans, before the start of his outstanding and tragic baseball career. Jackson would burst on the major league scene in 1911 by belting .408 in his first full season with Cleveland. His .356 lifetime average would automatically guarantee him a spot in the Hall of Fame, were it not for his involvement in the1919 Black Sox scandal. Unimprovable black and white photo image. Crease free aside from at the upper and lower right side corners. OK centering. Clean front. Rounding on the corners the main distraction. Still good eye appeal for a "2". Incredibly rare Joe Jackson card, one of only two PSA 2's graded with just 1 card rated higher.
