Magnificent 1910 E98 "Set of 30" MINT PSA 9 Ty Cobb (Red background) from the famous "Black Fox Find" appears to be just about perfect in every way. Snow white borders surrounded a picture perfect image of Cobb with a bright red colored background. All four corners look to be MINT or better. Both front and back are so fresh and clean it would not be exaggerating to say the card looks like it could have been printed yesterday. Card is very well centered, just a shade off to the left. A truly stunning example!
Card has been slabbed MINT PSA 9 with the added notation that it was part of the "Black Swamp Find".
Brief history of the "Black Swamp Find" - The cards were found in an area in northwest Ohio, sitting underneath an old dollhouse, in 2012. They had apparently never seen the light of day since the time of the cards original issue in 1910. The first person who consigned the find was a direct descendent from a family that had originally given away the cards in their neighborhood meat market back in 1910.
