Scarce original 1906 World Series program for the games played at West Side Grounds in Chicago between the crosstown rival White Sox and Cubs. The Cubs had set the 154 Game season record for wins with 116 and winning percentage at .763. while the White Sox, were nicknamed the Hitless Wonders after finishing with the lowest batting average in the American League. The White Sox would only hit .198 during the Series but take the Championship 4 games to 2. Inside has a Cubs team photo, history of the Chicago Cubs page, and individual photos of all the Cub players as well as numerous period ads. Program has 3 heavy vertical folds plus numerous other creases and tears. Program is scored in pencil with other pencil notes on the score card pages. Inside front cover has make shift box score in pencil. Only the 2 pages containing the scorecard are attached. All the other pages are loose. 2 1/4" by 1" piece of cover missing at lower right corner. 3/4" by 3 1/2" piece of vintage clear tape covering tear on an inside page. 1 1/2" by 1 1/2" bar code sticker on one page on the inside. Low grade but still a very rare program complete with all the pages.
