Eye catching 9 3/4" by 12" cabinet photo of the 1903 Pacific Coast League Champion inaugural Season champion Los Angeles Angeles. Crystal clear image features 14 players and their manager all dressed in their Angels uniforms. Players are identified by a vintage type written thick cardboard piece taped to the back. Those player pictured are: Joe Corbett, Doc Newton, Ed Hurlburt, Pop Dillon, Rusty Hall, Jud Smith, Vianello Drinkwater, Dolly Gray, Gavvy Cravath, Jas. F. Morley (Mgr.), Harry Spies, George Wheeler, Art Ross, Jimmy Toman, and Dummy Hoy. Someone has written, probably in 1903, neatly in pencil on the back the Rank, Games Played, Games Won, and Games Lost of the original 6 PCL teams. They also note when the season began (March 26, 1903) and when it ended (November 29, 1903). Small tip of upper left corner missing. Upper right corner has a crease/crack that has been repaired with a 3" by 3" area of vintage tape on the back. A 3/8" strip all around the back edges has tape residue/damage from vintage framing at one time. When properly framed and matted this beauty could be the centerpiece to an advanced Pacific Coast League collection!

Includes a Letter of Provenance from the Helms Athletic Foundation/LA84 Collection.
