Very scarce and desirable 1894 Duke cabinet of Hall of Famer Ed Delehanty. Delehanty, who still ranks 4th All-Time in Lifetime Batting Average, died while still an active player in 1903 as a result of a very controversial drowning. Measuring 6" by 9 1/2", this cabinet exhibits good color and a crystal clear picture. Moderate corner wear is evident and some small light spotting appears on the front. A 3/4" crease appears across the upper right corner and a light 4" crease that does not break the paper surface is evident across the upper middle area of the card from the right hand side. A pair of tack holes appear at the top and bottom center. A few small spots of toning appear on the reverse as well as a small amount of pencil writing that can likely be erased. All things considered, still a very decent example of a really tough issue.
