Nice lesser grade trio of 3 key 19th Century Hall of Famers from the beautiful N28 Allen & Ginter tobacco issue. 1) Cap Anson PSA 1 PR-FR. Premier player from before the turn of the century and the first man to 3,000 hits. Card is VG in appearance but has an at first barely noticeable from the front pin hole between the "G" and "O" of Chicago. 2) John Clarkson PSA 3 VG. Winner of 326 games, including 53 in 1884, with a .648 winning percentage during his brief 12 year career. 3) John M. Ward PSA 3 VG. Shortstop and 2nd baseman, mainly for the NY Giants of the 1880's and 1890's, Ward began his career in 1878 as a pitcher for Providence. In five years at Providence Ward won 146, including 47 in 1879, and lost only 84. In 1880 he became the 2nd man to toss a perfect game. All three have strong images and good color.
