Interesting sepia tone image of the 1869 Cincinnati Red stockings, generally regarded as the first all professional baseball team. Vintage 19th century photo appears to be a "skinned" example that has been cut down and re-backed on the front of another vintage CDV. Photo image is 2 1/8" by 3 3/8". Card backing is 2 3/8" by 4". Relatively clear photo has some creasing in the center but still retains some eye appeal. There is one very small tear in the photo paper at the center left where two creases have come together. The backing is crease free. Despite the flaws and problems the card should be an inexpensive piece from the very origins of professional baseball. PLEASE NOTE -Neither PSA nor SGC would holder the card.
