Ulysses S. Grant is one of those rare men of action who, while failing in almost every peacetime vocation, excelled at the art of war. This cut piece of Union Headquarters blue bond paper bear Grant’s black fountain pen signature. The signature has slightly aged to appear as a warn, deep sepia which displays nicely against the blue paper. The page shows toning and there is a slight blemish to the surface below Grant’s signature. A great cut example of Ulysses S. Grant’s wartime signature. The piece comes with a Beckett LOA.
