Bulls legend Scottie Pippen may have played alongside arguably the greatest basketball player ever in Michael Jordan, but in terms of famous teammates are concerned, the POTUS certainly gets the nod. Such was the case on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, when he was invited to play in President Obama's traditional Election Day basketball game. As millions of Americans fixated on the election results, Obama and company took a break from it all and hooped it up.

“He’s not an overly aggressive player, but he takes what the defense gives him,” said Pippen, who was on the President's team. “He’s got a smooth game. He probably used to be a little more aggressive, but obviously he doesn’t want to get hurt...I thought the lanes opened up when Michael Jordan used to drive. I used to be like, wow. But when I saw the President drive, I thought they were bringing the whole motorcade through the lane it was so wide.”

It came as no surprise that Pippen's team won. The Election Day games began when Obama played the day he won the Iowa caucuses in 2008. They became tradition after he lost the New Hampshire primary to Hillary Clinton on a day in which Obama did not play basketball (NBA.com). The navy blue reversible Sport-Tek mesh jersey (XXL) shows appropriate use and has been laundered. The back reads "4 More Years" and Pippen has signed the back number in 8/10 black marker. Quite the unique game-worn jersey from the future Hall of Famer.

Sourced through Pippen's friend. Includes JSA COA (AA00605) and PSA/DNA COA (AE81129).
